What we believe

important things you should know

about what we Believe

There is only one God, manifested in three persons: The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Bible is the inspired, Holy, Infallible, and eternal Word of God.

Being born again is necessary for all. Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus-Christ.

Baptism of the Spirit is a subsequent experience to salvation for all believers and makes available all nine gifts of the Spirit.

Water baptism by emersion in the name of Jesus-Christ s for all believers as an identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection unto new life.

God is the author of marriage and we believe it to be as God ordained, between a man and a woman.

Christ shed his blood and died on the cross for our sins. Christ’s sacrifice by his dying leads to our redemption.

Through fasting and prayer, the Holy Spirit can transform the Christian’s life. As followers of Christ, we also need to do this in order to grow spiritually.

We believe in the use of anointing as a symbol of God’s power of divine healing of the sick.

The five gifts are for the equipping of the saints, and edifying of the church in the Body of Christ today. They are:

Apostle

Prophet

Evangelist

Pastor

Teacher

The Redeemed dwill enjoy eternal life in Heaven with Jesus their Savior while the Lost will spend eternity in the lake of fire separated from God’s presence.

Sanctification is a definite, yet progressive work of the spirit commencing at rebirth and continuing until consummation of salvation.

Divine healing is provided by the work of Christ, wrought by the power of God, and is for the physical, spiritual, and emotional wholeness of each person.

The Great Commission is to be fulfilled by the church going and preaching, and making disciples of all nations.

Christ’s return is imminent, and after tribulation, He will rule on earth for the Millenium.

We believe in deliverance by the power of the Holy Spirit to set the captives free.

The Lord’s Supper (Communion) is to be to be partaken regularly, served in the spirit of lovve toward His body, and shows the Lord’s death until He returns.

Foundation of our faith

So faith comes from hearing , and hearing through the word of Christ.” (Romans 10:17).

The Christian faith is rooted in the understanding of the inspired word of God. As such, every Christian should always read the Bible to discover what God’s plan for their life is.  As we believe in the transformation occuring in us through faith, we should  also remember that “a person is justified by works, not by faith alone.” as it reads in James 2:24.

For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead“. (James 2:26)

One God manifested in three persons

God, the Father

God, first person of the Trinity, is the creator of everything that exists, seen or unseen.

One God and Father of all, who is over all and through all in all.” (Ephesians 4:5).

Jesus-Christ, the son

Jesus Christ, second person of the Trinity, is the son of God, and the first born of all creation. He is our savior, and through whom we have everlasting life.

You are the Christ, the son of the living God.” (Matthew 16:16)

Holy Spirit, Comforter

The Holy Spirit, third person of the Trinity, is the helper, and comforter.

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring  to your remembrance all that I have said to you.” (John14:26)

And they said, "Believe in the lord jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

Acts 16:31

Hope and salvation

“For I know the plans I have for You, declares the Lord, Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11).

“Therefore, having been justified by Faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” (Romans 5:1-5)
