Our
Story

ANFJC is a non-denominational church founded by Pastor Joseph Kasongo, originally from DRC.  (has also founded two churches in Africa) –God told him he has given him all nations as an inheritance (psalms 2:8)

Pastor Joseph came to the US in 2001. He served the Lord in one of the local churches and visited others in order to learn more about the American Culture.  In September 2003 he married Catherine Assignon (who is also a minister of the gospel).  He started his vision with his wife and they spend time in prayer with a group of people till the received a release from the Lord to establish a church here in Vermont in 2005.  All Nations for JC was inaugurated on November 5, 2005 in Burlington VT.

"Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain."

Psalm 127:1

Pastor Joseph Kasongo

I was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), and raised in a large Christian family (my father and mother are also servants of God). I married my charming spouse Rev. Pastor Catherine KASONGO on September 5, 2003 in Burlington. The Lord called me when I was 17 years old. I started to preach at the school where I studied, and it where the Lord used me until I graduated in Accounting in 1987. After graduation, I continued to minister to the youth until the group grew bigger. I decided to study theology and attended the Protestant University and the Bible College at the Faith Missionary Ministry in order to do the work of God. I was ordained Pastor by my spiritual father Rev. Charles LESSI in 1989.

After my studies, God provided me with a good-paying job in two different hospitals, as director of Administration and Finances, respectively in the western part of the Congo. After those two years of work at the hospitals, I received a divine message to stop working and to dedicate my life to the work of God. I started missionary trips in 1995, and went to a number of countries in Africa including Benin, Ivory Coast, and the Republic of the Congo/Brazzaville. In 1998, I received confirmation that I should establish a church. I did establish the first church on March 11, 1998. We named it “Eglise Pentecotiste Couronne de Vie” translated as (Crown of Life Pentecostal Church). From that time on, I worked day and night, and the Lord was faithful to us. In 2001, when the civil war broke out in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, I fled my country with the help of Rev. Davis of Hilltop Light (Burlington).

important things you should know

about what we Believe

There is only one God, manifested in three persons: The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Bible is the inspired, Holy, Infallible, and eternal Word of God.

Being born again is necessary for all. Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus-Christ.

Baptism of the Spirit is a subsequent experience to salvation for all believers and makes available all nine gifts of the Spirit.

Water baptism by emersion in the name of Jesus-Christ s for all believers as an identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection unto new life.

God is the author of marriage and we believe it to be as God ordained, between a man and a woman.

Christ shed his blood and died on the cross for our sins. Christ’s sacrifice by his dying leads to our redemption.

Through fasting and prayer, the Holy Spirit can transform the Christian’s life. As followers of Christ, we also need to do this in order to grow spiritually.

We believe in the use of anointing as a symbol of God’s power of divine healing of the sick.

The five gifts are for the equipping of the saints, and edifying of the church in the Body of Christ today. They are:

Apostle

Prophet

Evangelist

Pastor

Teacher

The Redeemed dwill enjoy eternal life in Heaven with Jesus their Savior while the Lost will spend eternity in the lake of fire separated from God’s presence.

Sanctification is a definite, yet progressive work of the spirit commencing at rebirth and continuing until consummation of salvation.

Divine healing is provided by the work of Christ, wrought by the power of God, and is for the physical, spiritual, and emotional wholeness of each person.

The Great Commission is to be fulfilled by the church going and preaching, and making disciples of all nations.

Christ’s return is imminent, and after tribulation, He will rule on earth for the Millenium.

We believe in deliverance by the power of the Holy Spirit to set the captives free.

The Lord’s Supper (Communion) is to be to be partaken regularly, served in the spirit of lovve toward His body, and shows the Lord’s death until He returns.
